Mens vi venter på næste medlem i vores lille flok, har jeg strikket et lille tæppe.

Min mor har overtaget tjansen med det kongelige svøb, hun synes, at hun har bedre tid og at jeg hellere skal bruge min energi på at være sammen med de små lopper, som allerede er ankommet. Og det kan hun jo egentlig ha’ ret i, en lidt mere fornuftig fordeling at tid og kræfter. Og så er det da også hyggeligt, at det er ens oldemor, der har strikket det store tæppe, der kan komme med videre til næste generation. Til tipoldebørnene engang om 20-30 år.

Jeg har strikket et lille blødt tæppe, som kan bruges til et lille ophold i en babynest, til en armsovning eller under dynen i barnevognen. Lille og lidt mere praktisk end det nærmest 1 kvadratmeter store svøb, som jeg strikkede til Topper og min mor til Vilma. Dette her er en lille makker til det store og selv om der allerede er strikket flere småtæpper til de andre, så skal den nye lille rumpenisse også ha’ sit eget.

Sophie nyder de sidste dage inden babytouchdown. Stille dage, så stille som de nu kan være med de andre livlige små, uden planer, hun samler kræfter og får pustet lidt ud efter et meget hektisk og lidt voldsomt ombygnings-og istandsættelsesprojekt. Først i søndags blev det nye badeværelse klar med sanitet og vand, jeg forstår virkelig godt, at hun har klemt ballerne ekstra godt sammen, mens der ikke var badeværelse i huset.

At der ikke er el og heller ikke færdigmalet derude, det betyder nul, når bare man kan få sin barselkrop under bruserens blide stråler.

Sophie har ikke travlt, jeg beundrer hendes ro og væren lige her lige nu i disse dage, og jeg flyder stille med. Babyer kommer, når babyer kommer. Og når hende her den lille dumper ned til os, så er alle klar. Med åbne arme, mange af dem endda, bløde hjerter og uendelig kærlighed til endnu et lille menneske i vores tætte flok.

Egne krumspring: Ud over den fejl, som jeg opdagede ret sent og har ladet blive, perfekt uperfekt i ved, så har jeg ikke lavet nogen krumspring, jeg har strikket 100 % efter opskriften for at være sikker på, at den var til at forstå. Og det synes jeg, at den er.

Tæppet er ikke stort, dette her måler 50 x 70, men det er perfekt til netop de ting, som jeg har skrevet herover. Ønsker man sig et større tæppe, så er det ret enkelt at øge maskeantallet, det står også lidt om i opskriften.

For 14 dage siden fik vores hus en ny beboer.
Et lille bitte babybarn, der allerede inden hun kom hertil, hed Siff og som nu lever et hyggeligt liv i stuerne under mig.

Ind imellem kan jeg høre en lille klagesang, når hun venter på mad eller skal vaskes, men det meste af tiden ånder alt fred og idyl og der er ganske dejligt, når man bor i et gammelt hus, hvor lydene forplanter sig.

Det er så hyggeligt at ha’ sådan et lille barn så tæt på, jeg nyder at få lov at holde og også bare kigge på afstand og jeg nyder allermest at se på hendes stolte lykkelige forældre, der jo nærmest er svævende i deres barselsboble…

Der har selvfølgelig været strikkerier på pindende til den nye baby.
Undertrøjer, en lille cardi og også et let lille barnevogntæppe, som er meget i brug i disse dage, hvor en dyne er for meget.

Garnet er fra den allerspædeste start af Garnudsalg, noget meget meget tyndt uld blandet med lidt cashmere, tror jeg, det løber rigtigt lagt og vejer ingenting, så man ender op med strik, der er blødt som en babynumse og let som en sky.
Den sartlyserøde jordbærmælksfarve er helt perfekt til en lille sommerbaby, synes jeg.

Mønsteret er let og uden dikkedarer, jeg har strikket præcis, som der står i opskriften.
Hvor meget garn, der er brugt, kan jeg ikke svare på, vægten er løbet tør for batteri men det kan ikke være ret mange gram…

Af samme spole garn er der for nyligt også strikket en pat-hat til en veninde i København.
Den blev sendt afsted, da debatten om offentlig amning var på sit højeste, og jeg ved, at pakken med hatten blev åbnet med store smil og grin i maven.

Hatten er strikket “på gehør”, jeg havde ikke en passende opskrift inden for rækkevidde, men tænkte tilbage på indtagningerne i de mange mange jordbærhuer, som jeg har strikket til egne og andres småbørn.

Den øverste mørke top er strikket af højlandsuld, det passede i farven “lys skandinav-babs” og passede også i strikkefastheden på resten af huen.

To små strikkeprojekter til små børn.
Hurtigt af og på pindende og ikke for stort at sidde med, når sommersolen bager, som den heldigvis gør i disse dage…

Amanda var ret sikker i sine ønsker til eftermiddagens kagebord og jeg gjorde mit bedste for at opfylde dem.
Jeg har ingen klager modtaget, så mon ikke det har været i orden?!

Hun spiste sig mæt og smilende i sin søde bløde boller, i de store snurrende kanelsnegle, i sprøde cookies og i den synnejysk’ brø’tårt, aka Rugbrødslagkagen.

Vi andre blev heldigvis også budt på et stykke og jeg vil sige, at den var helt præcis som sådan én skal være.
