Jeg tror ikke, at mit bløde punkt nogensinde bliver hårdt, jeg tror, at sværmeriet vil blive holdt i live lige så længe, som Mr. Oliver giver mig bøger at bladre i.

Faktisk er jeg helt vild med at kigge billeder i hans bøger, læse ingrediens-lister og forestille mig den smag, som lige præcis dén ret har af koriander eller den anden ret dér har af bitter-sød balance.

Engang, da vi var noget yngre end vi er nu, sagde Torben til mig:

“Dig og Jamie laver faktisk mad på samme måde, sådan lala og tju-hej hvor det går og så er der lige pludselig et forrygende måltid!”

Se det var en ros og et kompliment, som jeg lige lappede i mig som en kat lapper fløde, ikke alle ville måske bryde sig om at blive sat i bås med Jamie Oliver, men for mig var det helt okay, også selvom han er flyvende på testosteron og cute læspen og jeg bare er mig…

Jeg sad i eftermiddag og bladrede i Jamie’s America og fik løbende mundvand ved billedet og ordene om The Amazing Date Shake.

Dadler altså, jeg elsker dadler, store friske bløde brune dadler, der er en anelse grønne indeni, love love love it!!

Og shakes, ja det elsker jeg altså også.

Så der var ikke langt fra mundvand til action.

Hen til købeskabet – over til blenderen – og i med gøjemøget – whizwhiz.

Jamie sagde 20 dadler og 1/4 liter mælk!

Det sagde jeg nej tak til!!

Jeg nuppede 7 dadler, 1 dl kvark og 1 dl A38 0.5 %.

Og så lige 1 spsk god cacao og et lille drys kanel.

Perfekt…

Mens jeg sad og slubrede min dadel-shake gik jeg jagt på nettet efter historier om drikken, jeg havde aldrig hørt om det før.

Det har jeg så nu, ikke hørt men læst altså, og stødt på udgaver med vanilleyoghurt og muskat, med chokoladesirup og mokkais og også én med banan og orangejuice.

Jeg holder mig vist bare til den udgave jeg fik mikset her.

Den smagte så rigeligt dejligt.

Måske skulle jeg byde ham på en prøvesmagning…

    Ja du skal da så Anne! :o) Jeg må prøve den shake også, dadler er nemlig også en af mine yndlings. Vores lokale grøntbod har nogle gange dadler i kæmpe strørrelse, men mon jeg nænner at kværne dem i smadder? Ej jeg tager bare nogle af Urtekrams fra hylden. ;o) Tak for tippet.

    Dadler i shake – den tanke ville aldrig have strejfet mig. Her er det sønnike der elsker de tørrede julegodter. Han må haø resterne i en shake i morgen – det vil han elske!

    Han er faktisk næsten ikke til at stå for ham Jamie, kan godt forstå din facination. Jeg er vild med hans syn på mad og klappede i mine små fede hænder da han slog et slag for at engelske børn skulle ha’ ordentlig skolemad.
    Dadelshake er et hit her i huset, vi laver den med mandelmælk og et drys muskat. Det er ren energi om eftermiddagen når ungern er på vej til at gå sukkerkolde. Nå ja og selvfølgelig masser af isterninger med i maskinen.
    PS Hvis ham Jamie kommer forbi – holder du ham så HELT for dig selv eller deler du ham bare lidt?

    Jeg har fri ons og torsdag.
    Ellers er jeg der 10-15 lige nu, vi skal lige have fundet ud af hvordan det passer bedst med timer og kunder. Kan jo lige skrive hvis der sker noget nyt med mine tider.

    Daddelshake… hmmm det kan jeg ikke rigtig finde ud af, om jeg synes lyder lækkert. Jeg elsker dadler – havde fakstk lige guffet én, da jeg kom forbi din side. Jeg tror lige, jeg noterer mig idéen og tager den op en dag. For horisonten skal udvides…

    Nu har jeg aldrig set dig lave mad – eller for den sags skyld set Jamie Oliver gøre det. Jeg er imdilertid en stor fan af den enkle logik og den tydelige kærlighed til de ærlige råvarer og deres formåen, som jeg finder i hans opskrifter – og med dét jeg iøvrigt kender til dig, Anne – så kan jeg sagtens forestille mig, at Jeres tilgang – også i selve fremstillingsprocessen – ligner hinanden – meget … 🙂

    Jeg brugte bløde dadler fra køl, Puttenings, ikke af de helt store, men de almindelige i en lille kasse.
    De store bløde lækre kender jeg som Kong Salomons, jeg køber den i Heksekosten som slik til mig selv og har ofte et par stykker med i madpakken som formiddagsgodt, uhmmmm…

    Jeg kunne måske godt finde på at vente med at sige noget som helst til bagefter, Marie Louise 😉

    Å jeg er også tosset med den mand og hans mad. Den kompliment ville jeg også have gemt i skattekisten til de mørke dage. Rigtig god weekend det lyder som om du trænger til ro og magelighed.
