For flere år siden, 5-6 år måske, slæbte vi et gammelt gasbord hjem fra København, jeg var fyr og flamme, det skulle renoveres og sættes ind i stuen til lidt diller-daller, fyrfadsstager, lampe, magasiner, blomster, portvinsflasker, der var ingen grænser for, hvad dette bord kunne smykkes med.

Torbens begejstring matchede ikke min, og af en eller anden grund blev bordet parkeret i haven, og vupti, var det en del af pigernes ude-sandkasse-køkken, og jeg kunne ikke finde energien til at få bordet slæbt og sat i stand…

Senere kom det, mens vi flyttede og byggede, til at stå i mine svigerforældres have, og min svigerfar spurgte ofte, om det ikke bare skulle på losseren, mit blik fortalte ham, at han ville lide en grum skæbne, hvis bordet pludselig var “forsvundet” på mystisk vis, eller måske endda stjålet?!Sidste sommer blev det slæbt her hjem, nu skulle det være; jeg havde læst og studeret sandblæsning, rustgrunder og i-lægning af små mosaikker, men det blev aldrig til en skid, jeg orkede ikke…

Men for en måneds tid siden kom hjælpen så fra absolut uventet side, da jeg havde gjort en forældre til et af mine støttebørn en tjeneste; hun ville så gerne betale mig for den ulejlighed, hun mente, jeg måtte have haft, jeg takkede nej, men hun gav ikke så let op, og spurgte om der så ikke var noget, hun kunne gøre for mig.Og pludselig kom jeg i tanke om, at hun var en haj til at svejse og ordne gammelt jern, og andet var bordet efterhånden ikke, så jo tak, der var en tjenste, jeg gerne ville bede hende om.

I går formiddags afleverede hun bordet igen, ikke bare svejset, men også sandblæs og grundet!
Jeg kunne næsten ikke få armene ned, det var meget meget mere, end jeg havde forventet; og hendes stolthed ved endelig at kunne gi’ lidt den anden vej, den kan både hun og jeg leve længe på!

Nu står det her i alrummet, topklar til mat sort metal-maling, og så nogle 4×4 mosaikker, det bliver så flot.
Torben forsøger at presse bordet i drivhuset, han kan glemme det, kan han, i alle tilfælde hvis hans barstol skal blive inde…

    Det kunne være mit gasbords livshistorie du skrev. Vi fik det forærende af folk, der brugte det som grillbord i en baggård i København. Vi har dog valgt det gamle look med hvide fliser og jeg elsker det bord!

    Det gamle look var ikke så spiseligt, fliserne var okay, men den lysegrønne maling der, det var bare en tand for meget!

    “Belægningen” er jeg ikke 100% sikker på endnu, en tur til Fires Earth i Kbh. trækker også, der er mange smukke klinker der.

    -Sådan et gasbord satte jeg også engang i stand.
    Jeg gav det grafital-maling fra Beck & Jørgensen.
    Det bliver en meget smuk overflade.( der er grafitstøv i malingen)

    Dejlig farve det har faaet. Det bliver da helt vildt flot – og du skal da bare holde paa din ret: et bord for en barstol, det maa da vaere passende 😉

    Åh ja Fired Earth! Hver morgen på vej til job, cykler jeg meget laaaaaaaangsomt og drømmende forbi butikken i indre Kbh. Superlækre ting de har. Sig til hvis du skal have købt noget specielt og sendt over – så står jeg til tjeneste.

    Det var en dejlig gen-tjeneste at få lov til at gi’/få… Mænd og gamle sager – tror det er 2 næsten uforlignelige størrelser! Men hold fast i bord for stol og omvendt. 🙂

    Vi har også et gammelt bord. Det står ude på terrassen, der er naturen igang med et større forvitringsproces – det bliver godt 🙂

    Jeg tror, det skal hen og stå i nærheden af spisebordet, Ella, der mangler ind imellem lidt ekstra plads, men nu skal det lige males og “fliseres”, i weekenden måske…

    Og Torben må bøjes sig, ellers truer jeg også med blonder og lyserøde sofapuder 😉
