Striber…

Mors Dag er ikke noget vi har nogle faste traditioner eller ritualer omkring, jeg kan glemme alt om morgenmad på sengen, middag på restaurant og den slags.

Blomster dukker ikke op i buketter eller vaser og dagen ligner i det hele taget bare alle de andre dage her i Casa Dyrholm.

Men det er altså de hjemme- og den samboende, der dyrker den stil, for når det er Sophie vi taler om, ja så er det noget helt andet!

Hun ved nemlig lige nøjagtig, hvordan man forkæler en mor…

Sophie forstår at forkæle, både med gaver, søde ord og flittig hjælp, når det kniber, hun er ekspert i at spotte, hvad en mor drømmer om og meget ofte er hun kommet hjem med en eller anden lille, og også stor, ting, som hun lige har ment, at jeg trængte til.

I aftes, da vi var på vej hjem fra konfirmationsfest, hev hun en smukt indpakket gave op af tasken, hun var på forkant med dagen i dag, og sagde, at jeg gerne måtte åbne straks, når vi nu ikke skulle være sammen i dag.

Og det lod jeg mig jo ikke sige to gange, man var vel nysgerrig…

Sukkerskål og mælkekande, striber på den ene og blomster på den anden, love at first sight, ja eller noget, for det var selvfølgelig ikke første gang, at jeg lagde øjnene på Malene Helbaks lækre keramik, det var bare første gang, at det var mit eget af slagsen, jeg havde i hænderne.

Sættet har været i brug i dag, og har pyntet gevaldigt på bordet blandt alt det hvide porcelæn, og jeg vil sørge for at bruge det rigtigt meget og så tænke glade varme tanker om hende den skønne giver, der kender sin mors smag og er gavmild og rundhåndet.

Tak min søde skat…

Resten af slænget ville ikke stå tilbage for Sophie, og til deres held og min lykke er der heldigvis åbent på planteskolerne om søndagen og nye pæoner er føjet til havens lille samling i eftermiddag.

Et par skrappe pink Karl Rosenfield, der skal ned i det store lilla staudebed og så en sartrosa Madame Calot, der får lov at mænge sig med alle de hvide hortensia og stauder, der står ved vestsiden af terrasse.

Det bliver smukt og dejligt, og næste gang det er Mors Dag, så står de forhåbentligt med store knopper.

Forkælet, det er jeg nu nok alligevel…

    Det var da den fineste gave. Hun vælger altid så gode ting til dig. Måske blir de to andre ligesådan når de engang forlader reden. Så bliver du begavet til overflod. God restesøndag:)

    Sophie er bare så god til det der. Hun finder de lækreste ting til at forsøde din tilværelse. Hende har du opdraget godt 😉

    Og en tur på planteskolen er noget af det bedste man kan få. Her i huset har vi en stående aftale om en tur til Langeskov Planteskole omkring Mors Dag, som ligger lige omkring vores årsdag (10/5). I år blev det til 5 velduftende pelagonier, en ærteblomst og en hængeblomst.

    Heldige heldige heldige dig, dejligt med en betænksom datter og at det så smitter af på resten af familien er vel ikke at sige ski’ til?

    Her er morsdag noget vi ikke taler om, eller det vil sige de andre taler ikke, de er vel næsten døve for min strøm af ord om dage, sådan kan man jeg også vælge at fejre den.

    Ja, det var dejligt, Estermarie, men Emils bemærkning var nu også noget værd 🙂

    Hun har altid været sådan, Sifka, havde allerede som 4 årig selv sparet op til sin første selvvalgte gave til mig og fik min veninde Bibi med ned og købe en rigtig god håndmixer for alle mønterne, der blev hændt ud på disken, så der måtte tælles 🙂
