Bulgursalat…

6 bløde rødløg, en mat porre, lidt sørgelig babyspinat, en pakke frosset bacon og en lille nævefuld halvdøde asparges var udgangspunktet for fremstillingen af aftensmåltidet i dag, og faktisk endte det med at blive et rigtigt dejligt måltid, som fik os alle til at smile og uhmmm’e.

Rødløg og porre blev forvandlet til en robust tærte med grov bund og lidt baconknas i, og faktisk blev to hensygnende klatter smøreost pisket ud i æggemassen, så også reste-brug på den front.

Masser af bredbladet persille og knust hvidløg blev de krydderier, der skulle spille sammen med de røde løg, og det gjorde de smukt…

Mens tærten blev gylden og sprød i ovnen, gik jeg ombord i salaten.

I viktualierummet stod en sjat bulgur, der efter kogning og let afkøling, blev blandet med de rester af asparges og spinat, der havde ligget og slumret i køleskabet siden weekenden.

Men sammen med fintsnittet løg og en moden bøftomat i fine tern var de pludselig ikke så sørgelige mere, og salaten var den perfekte ledsager til tærten…

Det føltes rigtigt godt at få ryddet køleskabet på den måde, det er alt for let lige at vippe en slat af dit og en håndfuld af dat i skraldespanden, fordi man ikke synes, at man kan få noget ud af det eller fordi man ikke orker at forholde sig til det, men det gjorde vi i dag, hurra for det.

Pigerne har pakket resten af bulgursalaten og et stort stykke tærte i hver deres madkasse, så resterne af restemaden bliver også nydt, det er forbrug på fornuftig, økologisk og økonomisk vis…

    jeg elsker den slags restemad, men synes slet ikke jeg har overskud, lyst og fantasi til at trylle i køkkenet i øjeblikket. Jeg håber både overskud, lyst og fantasi vender tilbage efter påskeferien eller når køkkenet engang er færdigt. Ellers må jeg bare kigge forbi hos dig lidt oftere 😉

    Jeg er også vildt med restemad og særligt den tilfredse følelse der følger efter ved ikke at spilde resourser og ikke mindst spare pengene til “ny mad” fremfor at stoppe det “gamle” i skraldespanden.

    Anne, det gør så godt at vide at der findes levende, smukke alternativer til de fortænkte og uinteressante “samtale-køkkener” fra bladene og katalogerne! Vidunderlig mad (rester eller ej) frembragt i et utroligt dejligt køkken (jeg har ikke fået skrevet hvor helt og aldeles vild, jeg er med renoveringen – men det er jeg!) Ved du hvad – de billeder varmer sgu’ helt ud i storetæerne!

    De er heldigvis godt tilfreds med moderens mad, Vibeke, men du har ret, det var skønt, da de pakkede madkasserne i aftes…

    Det bliver så herligt for dig, Kagekone, når du får dit nye køkken, så vender al fantasien tilbage som med et trylleslag…

    Det var rigtigt lækkert, Malou, vi spiste igennem…

    Det ved jeg ikke om jeg er, Deborah, men godt blev det og så slap jeg for at handle 🙂

    Vi kunne nok alle ta’ os selv lidt i nakken mht udsmidning, det er skrækkeligt at vide, hvor meget god mad, der faktisk ender i skralderen rundt omkring i verden…

    Her i den søde juletid…

    Når anden er spist, ligger det stakkels skrog og stritter. Pil alle kødrester af og findel dem. Bland med de resterende æbler og svesker. Brug en rest andefond eller lav en af bouillon, som varmes op og tilsættes 3 blade husblas. Hældes over resterne, ind i køleskabet og wupti har du en lækker andesylte.
