Som skabt til en dampende kop te på sådan en råkoldt og småtåget eftermiddag, som vi har haft i dag.

En bolle af en slags med sødt på toppen, med safran og marcipan, det er jul, så det synger.

Måske nogen kunne få lyst at bage dem til adventshygge i morgen, til te eller glögg, eller måske varm hyldesaft, de smager rigtigt rigtigt dejligt, allerbedst lune og sprøde…

Safranbidder

Ca. 20 stk

50 g. smør

2.5 dl. mælk

25 g. gær

1.5 dl. kvark

1/2 pk. safrantråde

1 nip salt

1 tsk. kardemomme

0.7 dl. sukker

7-8 dl. hvedemel

Smør og mælk lunes og gæren udrøres heri.

Safrantrådene stødes sammen med sukkeret og røres i væden sammen med kvark, kardemomme og salt.

Hvedemelet røres i lidt ad gangen, det skal være en blød dej, ikke flydende, men fedtet og blød.

Jeg ælter ikke, men rører kraftigt med en stor grydeske.

Dejen trykkes ud i en lille bradepande, 30 x 40, der er foret med bagepapir, og hæver så en halv times tid…

Når dejen er hævet pensles den forsigtigt med en smule smeltet smør, og drysses så med

175 g. revet marcipan

1 pose mandelflager

Bages ved 200 grader i 20-25 min., skæres i store tern og spises så med velbehag og nydning.

    Tak for opskriften det lyder bare lækkert:) Vi bager altid safranskringler men de har konsistens som en sød bolle-det her lyder som et godt alternativ!

    Jeg har da vist en hel masse safran i køkkenskabet…

    Arbejdede engang med en dejlig quinde fra Iran og hendes mor sendte store forsyninger.

    Jeg har haft det i tætsluttende emballage i nok 10-12 år. Mon ikke det i det mindste kan farve lidt…

    Det er godt nok længe, Estermarie, jeg tror nu, at jeg ville købe noget nyt.
    Måske kan det farve, men jeg er ikke sikker på, at det vil smage ret godt, og det er jo ærgerligt og også lidt spild af andre gode råvarer og tid.
    12 år er altså så længe, at jeg må smile lidt a’ det 🙂
