Det var lige før en af de årligt tilbagevendende begivenheder glippede for os denne sommer, det havde ikke været godt, en enkelt af pigerne mener, at det ville være nærmest utilgiveligt, hvis vi ikke havde fået lavet hyldeblomstsaft.

Vi nåede det, lige på målstregen, for det var ikke let at finde blomsterskærme med ret mange blomster på, de fleste er allerede godt i gang med at blive til bær i stedet.

Men nu står der en portion ude på køkkenbordet, det lugter lidt af kattetis på dette tidspunkt i processen, men skidt, det smager så herligt sommerligt, når det er færdigt med at trække.

Der bliver ikke mange liter denne sommer, men alle de blomster, vi nu ikke fik plukket, dem må vi hive af træerne som bær i efteråret, og så koge skøn sort saft i stedet, saft der kan lindre ømme hoste-halse og vinter-snue…

    Her er vi også faldet af på den i år. Jeg har hentet ganske få til pynt i købt hyldeblomstsaft, og til en kage. Det må være sådan, når man har lidt travlt med så meget.

    Godt der også kommer bær, for det der kommer ud af dem er slet ikke til, at undvære når vinteren sniger sig på os. 🙂

    Æv. Jeg nåede det ikke i år:-( Det er godt nok en streg i regningen. Det er bare noget helt helt andet end det man kan købe, som i min verden er alt alt for sødt.

    Jeg har også tænkt på det mange gange, men må nok se i øjnene, at i år bliver det ikke lige… Der er simpelthen for meget.
    Og mon ikke også, det bliver en okay sommer alligevel 🙂

    Jeg er sikker på, at det er den tidlige blomstring, der har fået os alle til at misse “plejer”, Johanna, og så må vi jo bare se det fra den positive side:
    Flere bær til snue-saft 🙂

    Surt, Marie Louise, når man nu så gerne vil.
    Har du prøvet den fra Søbogård, ikke i de små fine café-flasker, men den store, som man selv skal blande op med vand, den smager dejligt!
    Og så kan du få en kop af vores hjemmelavede, hvis du kommer her forbi…

    Vi får såmænd nok en dejlig sommer, Annette, vi kan jo lave hjemmelavet limonade i stedet – af sommer citroner 😉

    Ja – pyt, Tanni, det siger jeg også! Især nu, hvor jeg har fået lavet mig et par liter…

    Eller lidt ikke for sød mousserende, Frk. Solhat, OG et skvæt gin 🙂

    Ja, den fra Søbogaard kan gå an, hvis man ikke har den hjemmelavede. Jeg plejer at bruge hyldeblomstsaft til at drikke, men også i madlavningen, så derfor kan jeg bedst lide, at den ikke bliver for sød. Kender du Camilla Plums varme gulerodssalat med hyldeblomstsaft? Den er fantastisk, men altså bedst med det hjemmelavede. Nå, pyt, det bliver til næste år…og hvem ved måske står jeg lige pludselig og banker på din dør Anne 😉 og så siger jeg ikke nej tak til en kop saft.

    Jeg fandt også først vej til hylden da der stort set ikke var flere tilbage. Jeg får mig nok en flaske, men så heller ikke mere. Da min mand og jeg var på vores første date på en cafe i Århus, fik vi hyldeblomstsaft. Det hører sig bare til nu….
