Da jeg for en måneds tid siden skrev, at I var velkomne til at komme med stik-ord, som jeg så senere kunne bruge som en slags skriveøvelser her på bloggen, var I hurtige på tasterne og der kom så mange fine forslag til, hvad jeg kunne kaste mig over.

Jeg er ikke rigtigt kommet i gang endnu, men tog listen frem i dag og kiggede den igennem, jeg har jo lyst til at skrive om alt derpå, men for at gøre det lidt let tilgængeligt for mig selv på sådan en lidt træt torsdag som denne, så hev jeg en af kasserne med Lynhistorier ud af skabet og trak et kort. På engelsk åbenbart. Havde glemt, at vi også havde den udgave liggende.

Så altså – here we go – en lille lynende hurtig historie about a scar. Jeg sætter ikke minut-uret til, det klarer min hjerne ikke, jeg må ha’ tid.

Da jeg var barn var sodavandsdrikning noget, der hørte højtider og fester til. I alle tilfælde hjemme hos min mormor og morfar. Hos min fars forældre var der en mere afslappet holdning til indtagelse af den slags, sikkert fordi, at de tænkte, at den bare skulle have gas på hyggen, når jeg var hos dem.

Efter en sammenkomst hjemme var der en lille flok Fuglsang sodavand til overs, lækre søde boblende sodavand i små glasflasker. Jeg plagede flere gange om at få lov til at drikke én af dem, bare én, en iskold en var det, for de stod ude i noget, som vi kalde Slippen, en smal passage mellem vores hus og nabohuset, hvor byens store Materialist boede, datidens Matas. Hvordan sodavandene er endt dernede på det store slidte trappetrin af sten, aner jeg faktisk ikke, det var ikke et sted, hvor der normalt sådan lige stod en flok kolde drikke, men de stod altså der et par dage efter sammenkomsten og de lokkede noget så skrækkeligt.

Det endte – selvfølgelig – med, at jeg tænkte: Nu tager jeg bare én og så må jeg få skæld ud, hvis de opdager det! Jeg fik listet en oplukker med ned oppe fra den tunge køkkenskuffe og knappede en sodavand op og drak den i store grådige slurke. Væk var den i løbet af et øjeblik. Og så stod jeg ellers der med den tomme flaske. Og hvad skulle jeg så gøre af den?

Kan i mærke panikken? Jeg var jo ude i Point of no return, for sodavanden var drukket og det kunne ligesom ikke gøres om, jeg havde bare ikke tænkt længere end dertil i min iver for at bælle noget sukkerdrik.

Jeg gik i panik, drejede rundt om mig selv både fysisk og mentalt og tænkte bare Åhh nej åhh nej og pludselig røg flasken ud af hånden på mig! Ned på de store gamle sten, der lå i slippen. Crash bang og tusind glasskår. Panik panik panik. Havde nogen hørt larmen? Kom de nu løbende ned af trappen? Hvordan skulle jeg samle det op? Og hvad skulle jeg gøre med skårene?

Høj puls og paniksved.

Jeg begyndte at samle op og tænkte mig ikke om, samlede bare de tykke skarpe skår op i næven. Samlede og samlede og samlede lige indtil jeg på en eller anden både fik skåret et dybt buet snit i min højre håndflade. Lige på det tykke sted under pegefingeren. DYBT! Følte nærmest at glasskåret sad fast inde i knoglen. Jeg turde ikke skrige eller tude. Så var afsløringen jo lige så sikker som Amen i kirken. I min panik smed jeg alle de opsamlede skår igen og stod nærmest bare som stivnet, mens jeg kiggede ned på hånden med det gabende sår og så hvordan blodet bare piblede. Stærkere og stærkere og mere og mere. Det tap-blødte.

Jeg blev så svimmel. Af ren og skær panik.

Og til sidst skreg jeg vel. Og græd. Højt!

Og min mormor kom løbende.

Hun sagde ikke et ord men hev mig op i køkkenet, op på køkkenbordet og tændte for den kolde hane, så hun kunne komme til at se såret.

“Hvordan er det sket, Anne?” Intet svar, bare hulk. “Anne?!?”

Og så fortalte jeg det vel. Jeg husker det ikke, husker ikke skæld ud, husker ikke formaninger, husker bare panikken inden i og en forfærdelig dunken i hånden i de næste mange timer. Og så en stod hvid stram forbinding. Måske lidt større end nødvendigt så jeg rigtigt kunne sidde der og glo på den og tænke over, at jeg havde gjort noget rigtigt dumt. Og det endda uden at spørge. Dumt.

Arret sidder der endnu, helt tydeligt, halvmåneformet og lidt hævet op over resten af håndfladen.

Et ar. En lynhistorie.

    Et godt billede på barndommen. Mon ikke vi alle har sådan et minde – måske ikke lige med et gabende, blødende og dunkende sår, men med noget forbudt, hvor vores tanker slet ikke kunne tænke hændelsen til ende.

    En sommer falt min lillesøster på en trestamme, og fikk en kvist tredd langt inn mot beinet like under kneet på venstre fot. Den høsten skulle hun begynne på skolen, og jeg sa at om noen lurte på hva det arret var etter, kunne hun fortelle at hun ble født med hjertet på feil sted, og at arret kom av at legene stakk en lang stang inn der, og dyttet hjertet opp på plass…
