På vej hjem....

I armene på Amanda...

Tryg og tillidsfuld...

 

He’s in da house.

Saxokatten . den lille bløde røde – mylingen – mislingen – og vi er alle fuldstændig forelskede i det lille væsen.

 

Han er så tillidsfuld og kærlig og sidder bare i armene på Amanda og tager det hele ind med stort og roligt overblik og masser af nysgerrighed.

Der er ingen trang til at gemme sig eller trække sig væk fra os, han er her bare, helt lige som om, at han havde været her længe og det er en stor og dejlig overraskelse, at han ikke går lidt i panik over den store hoppende hund, for Saxo har aldrig mødt andre firbenede end katten og man må sige, at Huxi er noget af en mundfuld at blive konfronteret med, men det klarer han bare så fint, den lille fine Saxo…

 

Huxi er ved at gå ud af sit gode skind af nysgerrighed og forelskelse, men han har brug for at blive styret lidt i det, for ellers så bliver det for voldsomt, så Amanda styrer Saxo og jeg styrer Huxi og så går det fint og jeg får som bonus trænet mine biceps rigtigt meget. Nogle og tredive kilo ivrig hund kræver sin kvinde.

Sigga er en blandig af skræmt og fornærmet, hun er i alle tilfælde ikke imponeret over Saxo og skrider med hovent blik og løftet hale ind i soveværelset og gider ikke deltage i alle andres jubel, men vi kender hendes nysgerrighed og legetrang godt nok til at vide, at når hun lige er færdig med at “straffe” os, ja så bliver der hop og spjæt og nedlagt julepynt lige om lidt.

Det tager vi gerne med, vi er bare flyvende over, at der igen er 2 katte i huset, sådan går det nemlig bedst, synes vi.

Ham her –
vi knuselsker ham bare.
Kort og godt.
Vildt og inderligt.

Huxihund.

Han har boet hos os i 1 års tid nu og på trods af det KÆMPE store stykke arbejde det har været – og sommetider stadig er – at ha’ en livlig hvalp, ja så kan jeg med hånden på hjertet sige, at jeg har glædet mig over ham hver eneste dag.
Der har selvfølgelig også været momenter, hvor jeg har været ved at eksplodere, som da han åd Amandas briller eller sprang lige midt ned i mit vidunderlige lille snedker-loppe-bakkebord og det hele nærmest eksploderede ud i stuen, da blev jeg da lige lidt indebrændt i et minut eller to.

Eller hundredetyvende gang han smed sig midt i den største mudderpøl i skoven.
Eller da han hev en tomatplante ud af drivhuset.
Eller gnaskede en dyr håndcreme i stykker.
Eller slikkede på min gode håndmad med spegepølse.
Eller stak i galop efter en stakkels dame, der var mest til små hunde.

Men det meste af tiden er han verdens bedste hund og han giver så meget liv, så mange grin, så meget varme og så mange skønne oplevelser, at jeg nærmest ikke kan forestille mig ikke at ha’ ham ved siden af mig hver eneste dag…

I dag har vi været tidligt oppe og i hundeskoven sammen med en herlig og meget grinende veninde og hendes Corgi, vi havde kaffe og morgenmad med og blev stort set ikke “generet” af andre mennesker i skoven. Vi klarede at vende verden og få spist og hundene klarede stort set det samme.
I fuld fart.

Siden har der ikke været meget gang i ham, ikke andet end lidt smådrillerier med hugget strikketøj og bjæf af pigerne, der tillod sig at spise knækbrød med ost og pølse i stuen, jeg tror, at dagen i dag er udnævnt til dovensøndag, men måske ændrer det sig, når vi andre sætter os til rette ved middagsbordet, så vågner han sikkert op til dåd og unoder.

Så planen kunne være en tur mere i skoven inden maden.

Huxi er – på trods af hvad andre måtte påstår – en rigtig rolig hund, der er god til bare at være omkring os uden for meget hurlumhej, han ligger oftest lige ved mine fødder og holder øje med, at jeg ikke drager på tur ud i køkkenet eller haven uden ham.
Han ligger på badeværelsesgulvet og venter, mens jeg er under bruseren, og ved siden af min seng, når jeg sover. Ind imellem også i min seng.

Han følger mig som en skygge og kigger op mod mig med nogle øjne, der siger “Hva’ skal vi nu? Må jeg komme med? Jeg er jo din hund, så jeg skal med, det skal jeg!” og det skal han jo også, så ofte som muligt og der hvor det giver mening…

Han er den hund, som jeg i mit voksenliv har været mest knyttet til, måske fordi det bare er mig, der har opdraget og sørget for og taget mig af, igen og igen og igen, han er helt særlig og bare så god.
Jeg elskede Nugga, virkelig, men ham her altså, han har for alvor most sig ind i mit hjerte.

Vi træner stadig indkald og andre kommandoer, han har sin egen vilje, men driver han den for langt og får en skrap irettesættelse, så er han slukøret, han vil helst ikke ha’ skæld ud, men det får man altså, hvis man tager en spurter og ikke lader sig kalde tilbage.
Men i bund og grund er vi rent opdragelsesmæssigt ved at være der, hvor tiden bare skal arbejde for, at han bliver lidt mere rolig og afbalanceret, for hormonerne er ret voldsomme lige nu og kan man dominere, så vil man dominere. Sådan er det og det må vi så arbejde med, det der med, at det er mig, der bestemmer, altid og uden undtagelse.

Men i virkeligheden så er han meget mere en tøsedreng end hans umiddelbare fremtoning og attitude kunne give anledning til at tro andet, han er bange i mørke, han er bange for skrappe hunde og han er ikke vild ukendte objekter på gade og i skov.
Huxi hunderæd…

Huxi skal selvfølgelig med ud og være stationshund, han skal ha’ lov at lunte rundt inde og ude, når vi er der alene og passe på mig, når det sådan for alvor er mørkt helt derude i skoven og når der er åbent og folk myldrer ud og ind, så har han heldigvis en hel lejlighed til sin rådighed ovenpå.

Jeg er sikker på, at han vil elske at springe op bag i bilen hver morgen for at komme med derud, hvor der er plads til at sprælle og få en friskstegt fiskefrikaldelle.

Huxi boy...

Jeg sidder og venter.
Glor på uret hvert andet minut.

Det går alt for langsomt…

Jeg har her til morgen afleveret Huxi hos dyrlægen til narkose og røntgen.
Vi var der i går, fordi Huxi har haft en lille bitte nærmest usynlig vaklen på sit venstre ben over nogle dage.

Jeg har ikke ro inden i til at vente og se. Det er ikke lige mig og da slet ikke lige nu så kort efter Otto.
Undersøgelsen på dyrlægens bord gav ikke et klart svar, det kan være alt fra korsbånd til led, vrid eller bare uskyldigt vokseværk…

Men vi er – selvfølgelig – skræmt fra vid og sans og jeg trækker nærmest kun vejret i det øverste af lungerne.
Jeg vil ikke ha’, at der skal være noget i vejen med ham den store bøf her.

Vi har brug for ubekymrede forårssmil, hoppende legende hund og masser af medvind.
Ikke mere uro og ikke flere tårer.

Jeg gør ALT hvad jeg kan for at tro på det bedste.
