Jeg er en sucker for glögg.
Helst en kop hver dag i løbet af december.

Det behøver ikke altid at være en boozy én, jeg holder også rigtigt meget af lys glögg lavet på æblesaft eller en krydret blåbærsaft.
Men på særlige dage så er det helt ok med én, som efterlader mig med varme kinder og bare en lille smule jule-tipsy.

Sådan én skal vi ha’ i dag.
Lavet på hjemmebrygget ekstrakt med mørk rom og masser af krydderier.
Den er stærk og når rommen så tilsættes rødvin og et lille skvis port, så er jeg sikker på, at den vil kunne være med til at støtte op om lige præcis det behov, som jeg har for roligt tempo på en doven adventssøndag…

Ekstrakten her skal helst trække et par uger, så det er ikke lige i dag, at du kan servere det, men sæt det over og så er du klar til at byde på rigtig voksen glögg, når vi rammer den sidste adventssøndag.
Har du behov for at bruge den lidt før, så kan du koge krydderierne op i en lille sjat rødvin fra i aftes, pyt med at procenterne fordamper i processen, der bliver tilsat så rigeligt af dem senere.

Jeg har brugt

1/2 liter mørk rom
Skallen af en økologisk appelsin
3 kanelstænger á 10 cm
15 nelliker
25 grønne kardemommekapsler
4 enebær
1 stor fed vanillestang

Giv de tørre krydderier fik et ordentlig dask med en kødhammer, du kan også riste dem let på en hed pande og kom dem så i et tætsluttende patentglas eller lign sammen med appelsin, vanillestang og rom.

Fisk appelsinskallen op efter 3-5 dage, alt efter hvor meget citrussmag du ønsker, og tilsæt på det tidspunkt så 3-4 spsk rørsukker.
Når ekstrakten har trukket i et par uger, så sigtes den og varmes forsigtigt op med en kraftig rødvin, evt portugisisk eller sydfransk.
Sødmen kan justeres med lidt mere rørsukker og evt noget portvin.

Ikke alle nyder at få mandler og rosiner i deres glögg, prøv at servere den uden men med blandede nødder i skåle ved siden af.
Vil du holde fast i traditionen med mandler og rosiner, så vælg nogen af god kvalitet og lad dem overnatte i lidt cognac, rom eller portvin inden brug.

    Det er jeg slet ikke i tvivl om, men Blomberg har løst mit problem med at jeg gerne vil have et glas gløgg i ny og næ, og det vil gemalen ikke 🙂

    Lyder lækkert – drikker kun gløgg hjemme hos mig selv – laver den også fra bunden ???? 🙂
