TORVEHANDEL OG SPRØDE LÆKKERIER…

At runde torvet lørdag formiddag og få friskt grønt og frugt med hjem til fade og skuffer er en dejlig start på en ny maduge, synes jeg, fristelserne er mange og poserne bliver hurtigt tunge.

Billigere end i supermarkedet er det oftest ikke, ikke så meget at det er væsentligt i alle tilfælde, men jeg nyder at handle under åben himmel og glædes over, at jeg her kan pakke mine ting direkte i egne poser og slipper for at slæbe unødigt plast, pap og skrammel hjem.

 

Det bliver til hyggelige snakke med manden i øko-boden, sæsonpassiar med blomsterdamen og gode smil til og fra de andre handlende. En halv time på torvet lørdag er en fjer i livskvalitetshatten.

Og ofte mere end bare en enkelt…

 

I går handlede Amanda og jeg hos et rigtigt sødt og imødekommende ægtepar oppe fra Mariagerkanten, de solgte med glæde og iver og også en vis portion velfortjent stolthed deres kornprodukter fra egne marker.

Falslevgård er et økologisk landbrug og alt er selvfølgelig dyrket uden stråforkortere og andre sprøjtemidler, sådan kan jeg li’ det, og kornet bliver malet på stenkværn med skal og kim, så vi andre kan købe gode næringsrige meler til vores brød.

Emmer, Ølandshvede, spelt, enkorn, rug og andre sorter. Nøgenbyg f.eks., lige den havde jeg aldrig mødt før i går.

 

Der var vældigt meget hyggeligt snak i de to og Amanda blev fodret med små smagsprøver på deres gode hjemmebagte brød, mens hun ellers agerede pakæsel for de allerede indkøbte varer og hendes egne sidste anskaffelser til efterskoleopholdet.

Og lidt tog vi selvfølgelig også med derfra i vores poser.

En frøblanding med græskarkerner, solsikke, hør og sesam og så en pose spanske økologiske mandler, planer for anvendelse var nærmest lagt på forhånd.

Indkøbene passede nemlig lige til en omgang gode sprøde knækbrød fra Green Kitchen Stories…

 

Lækre små brød helt uden mel og fedt andet end den, der naturligt er i frø og kerner, sundt og godt og rigtigt velsmagende.

Så op i foodprocessoren med frø, kerner og mandler, lidt salt og et enkelt æg ned under “rundkørslen” og derefter udrulning mellem to stykker bageparpir med min elskede rulle af nøddetræ. En souvenier fra en ferie i Italien for nogle år siden.

 

I går blev knækbrødet nydt med god Gouda og knasegrønt til, i morges blev en lille håndfuld smuldre over skålen med skyr og blåbær. Brændstof af den gode slags til kroppen.

 

Vi købte ikke mel i går, men jeg har en halv aftale med Amanda om, at jeg må tilbage til boden på torvet næste lørdag og hente nogle kilo, for hun smilede saligt efter de små smagsprøver og drømmer vist om et stort lunt brød fra mors ovn, når hun om 14 dage lander herhjemme igen på weekend…

 

Jeg får lyst til en tur til Falslevgård Mølle, hvor der er åbent om fredagen. Bagekurser afholder de også.

Og selv om Mariager er lidt uden for nabolaget, så er jeg næsten sikker på, at det hele ville være køreturen værd og måske kunne man endda løbe ind i en loppe undervejs.

Jeg må vist hellere.

 

Og jeg får også rigtigt meget lyst til at anbefale jer en tour på Green Kitchen Stories side. Fantastiske billeder og lækre lækre opskrifter. Man bliver nærmest lidt sund bare af at kigge. Sådan da…

    Elsker også selv at handle økologisk, og heldigvis kan man også gøre en masse af det i Århus. Tak for opskriften, det ser lækkert ud.

      Vi har også gode steder her i byen, synes jeg, Chris, men udvalget er selvfølgelig slet slet ikke så stort som i Århus, jeg ønsker faktisk tit, at det var der, at vi boede.
      Af flere grunde end den økologiske, men den ville jo ikke være ringe…

    Søde Anne… Falslevgård ligger en spytklat fra mig :o) Luige ned af vejen og mod venstre og så er man der næsten (3 km). Det er et hyggeligt sted – med den smukkeste udsigt over fjorden. De er hyggelige – har altid en god historie. Man kan vist komme ind og se, hvordan de maler mel… Så skulle du tage på tur, så lad mig høre, så er du velkommen her.

    Ser lækre ud de knækbrød , måske de skulle prøves. .
    Bagekursus drømmer jeg også om engang Anne, lige at få lidt fif til hvordan man lige kunne gøre brødet lidt mere lækkert og smagfuldt..,,,

    Åhhhh ja det mel, det er frygtelig vanedannende. De sælger også på vores lokale torvemarked og jeg slæber hjem hver lørdag formiddag og bager så af hjertes lyst.
    Bagekurset lyder tiltalende – jeg drømmer om det.

    Hmm bor kun en times kørsel fra Mariager, måske man skulle køre forbi, kan godt lide gårdutikker og torvet, man køber mere end vare varer her, man køber, drømme og historier.
