Hvedeknopper…
Så er der bagt hvedeknopper, og engang i aften skal de flækkes og ristes og så nydes med koldt smør på og dampende te til.

Ikke den værste måde at starte en lidt forlænget weekend på.

Pigerne er stadig sløje, især den lille af dem ligger brak, men mon ikke de kan lokkes frem fra dynerne og væk fra Matador, og så nyde bare en lille halv hvede sammen med os andre…

Helle K. spørger om, der ikke er forskel på boller og hvedeknopper, og det er der da, lidt i alle tilfælde, der er meget mere fedtstof i hvedeknopperne både mængden af æg og smør er øget i forhold til en almindelig bolleopskrift.

De varme hveder er en tradition, der er kommet til at hænge uløseligt sammen med Store Bededag, på denne dag var der i gammel tid arbejdsforbud, man måtte ikke arbejde, spille, lege eller rejse, man skulle bruge dagen i kirken og faktisk også være fastende fra aftenen før og indtil man var færdig med at være til gudstjeneste.

Selv bagerne holdt fri denne dag, men for at borgerskabet ikke skulle være helt uden brød, så bagte man bjerge af hvedetvebakker, som man så kunne varme i hjemmene på selve bededagen.

Hvorfor spisningen af dem så er rykket til aftenen før, ja det melder historien ikke noget om, men kan man ikke forestille sig, at vi danskere, med vores veludviklede hygge-gen, lige har kunnet øjne chancen for endnu en gang mad og samvær…

    Den ene af dem er i oprejst stilling nu, Jeannette Mariae, så der er håb 😉

    Mine hveder smager ret meget som boller, Helle, måske lidt blødere før ristning, der er oceaner af fedtstof i.
    Og tak for bedringsønskerne, de er bragt videre…

    Det håber vi så sandelig også, men is kan altid lindre en øm hals.
