Den var skøn, rødebedekagen, og den kommer helt sikkert på et kagebord her hjemme en anden gang.

Egentlig er den jo bare en “af-art” af en gulerodskage, og også flødeostglasuren helt sikkert udsprunget derfra.

Hvor jeg har fundet opskriften henne, er jeg ikke sikker på, måske i et ugeblad i Sverige eller på en svensk side på nettet, jeg har skrevet Bikarbonat på den lille usle seddel, som jeg havde lagt i en bagebog på hylden, og det giver da et lille fingerpeg mod broderlandet.

Portionen her passer til en stor springform, den jeg brugte i går var tæt på 30 cm. i diameter, og det var en god størrelse.

Jeg er ikke så sikker på, at det er en god idé at bruge en form, der er ret meget mindre, kagen bliver høj og bagetiden derfor meget længere, og så bliver kanten nok lidt tør…

3 dl. rå revne rødbeder

150 g. hakkede nødder, jeg brugte val-

Alle ingredienserne røres sammen og dejen hældes i en bagepapirforet springform og bages ved 175 grader i ca. 50 min.

Safrancreme:

1 tsk. safrantråde

200 g. flødeost naturel

3 dl. flormelis

Safrantrådene stødes i lidt sukker, eller udblødes i en lille-bitte smule kogende vand, før de røres godt sammen med de andre to ingredienser.

Cremen smøres på kagen, når denne er helt afkølet…

    Hej Anne. Tak for opskriften. Kagen ser meget lækker ud. Hvor får man de der safrantråde? har aldrig hørt om det 😉

    Du køber dem i en lille mikroskopisk æske i et supermarked med stort udvalg, eller hos en indvandrekøbmand.
    Det er verdens dyreste krydderi, det er tørrede støvdragere fra en særlig krokusart, de er håndplukkede og for den fineste kvalitet betaler man over 70.000 for et kilo.

    De små æsker i supermarkedet koster omk. 30 kroner, så det er til at overkomme, man bruger kun ganske lidt…

    Hvor lyder det lækkert – jeg er ikke sikker på, at safran-tråde kan købes i Arden-city – jeg må huske det næste gang jeg besøger Aaborg 🙂

    Den skal helt sikkert prøves, jeg drømte om sønderjysk kagebord hele dagen i går da jeg så din første tråd om kagen…

    jeg er lige fræk og kommer med et bageråd, håber det er ok Anne.

    Hvis man bruger en mindre form kan det hjælpe at dæmpe varmen lidt, vikle et vådt håndklæde om formen ( hold øje med det ikke sveder af) eller sætte et fad med vand i bunden af ovnen. Jeg bruger det ofte hvis jeg bager konfektkager der skal bage meget længe, ellers er kanten næsten uspiselig.

    Her igen én af de lækre Anne opskrifter der bare lige MÅ have et par ord med på vejen… Når jeg har serveret den for mine gæster siger de ‘rødbede-hvad-for-noget’ (?? Hvem sagde gammeldags??) Men efter at have smagt den er de helt solgt! Lidt variation: Jeg bruger ½ tsk safrantråde samt reven hakket skal af 1 øko citron til glasuren. Tak for en vidunderlig opskrift 😉
