Der er fest i gaden i dag, i alle tilfælde i vores ende, hvor vi er i gang med at gøre klar til den årlige sommerfest.

7 huse er vi, samlet om en lille oval plæne, der er afslutning på en lang vej i et nybygger-kvarter, en lille enklave med børn og voksne i alle aldre, og vi har for længe siden bestemt, at vi vil holde fast i vores rundkørselsfest, som vi har afholdt fra før man begyndte at udbygge resten af kvarteret.

Mændene sætter telt op og hygger selv vældigt med røverhistorier og gode råd om håndtering af teltstænger, andre af os har sat sig på overskuelige madopgaver, et par hjælpes med bagværk og kaffe til eftermiddagen, andre laver tilbehør til det grillede kød og et par sørger for lækker dessert og senere sprøde chips til drinks og øller.De store børn har arrangeret en vældig skattejagt for de yngre, det har været planlægning og koordination på højt plan!

Vi hygger os, gør vi, og det er en daglig glæde at bo omgivet af varme og nærværende mennesker, der vægter det gode tætte naboskab, det er til glæde for os voksne og til rigtig stor glæde for alle børnene…

Jeg er på tilbehørsholdet, og har fået linet op, så der kun er de allersidste finpudsninger tilbage.
De små kartofler er kogt, og står klar til en klat smør, olie, en ordentlig håndfuld krydderurter og en halv time i ovnen, bønnesalaten skal bare vendes i den skarpe sennepscreme og den grønne salat skal ha’ et skvæt citronolie, det er til at overskue!Der er ordnet bjerge af gnavegrønt til ungerne, hældt lækkerier i skåle, jeg kan tillade mig at flyde og hygge, indtil aftensmaden skal indtages.
Jeg har marineret lammemørbrad i hvidløg og basilikum fra haven, det dufter himmelsk, og sat på en stik frisk romarin, da kan det vist kun gå hen og blive en lækkerbidsken.

Og de grå skyer der over teltet, de har bare at holde tæt, eller drive væk, vi vil ha’ lun aftensol, og måneskin og stjerneregn til vores gin og lemon til midnat…
