Hanne havde taget turen til Rødhus over Ålborg, ikke fordi det var det nemmeste, men fordi den søde og skøre kone ville forkæle mig, og det gjorde hun så, for fuld skrue.

Hun kender min kærlighed for lækkert håndværk, gerne af den keramiske slags, og hun havde læst og hørt om Lange, set de ting jeg havde her hjemme, og vidste at jeg synes, at de leverer det lækreste af slagsen, så derfor tvang hun familien ind i Ålborgs lørdag-formiddags-myldretrafik, helt ind i de små stræder, hvor Lange er at finde…

Hun bragte mig den skønneste mælkekande, der i en snæver vending også kan huse nogle af havens blomster, jeg er vild med den, elsker de små guldklatter og de “fremstående” knopper, den vil blive brugt og brugt.

På kanden er skrevet lidt, det er ikke så let at tyde, men med fælles hjælp er vi nået frem til noget, der lyder sådan her

Rappende vagabonder støder man vist ikke så ofte på, og jeg er heller ikke 100 % sikker på at der står “rapping”, men det er noget der starter med r og så dobbelt p, og vi lever selvfølgelig også i en tid, hvor det ikke er så hot at spille på sav, så måske rapper han, ham The Vagabond.

Jeg elsker min gave, og endnu mere elsker jeg, når folk gør så meget for at glæde…

    “to rap on a door” betyder at banke på døren, så citatet giver god mening.
