En af de uldne opgaver, jeg gav mig selv, da jeg planlagde strikkeåret 2020, var at blive bedre til flerfarvestrik. Det var en teknik, som havde hvilet i alt for mange år og som stort set ikke havde været på mine pinde, siden jeg strikkede utallige katte-, spøgelses- og lammebluser til pigerne, da de var små. Jeg har fedtet lidt med en enkelt Riddari og et par andre småprojekter, men strikningen af disse har været i snegletempo og engang fløj det bare over pindene, det tempo ønskede jeg at komme tilbage til.

Især ønskede jeg at strikke flerfarvemønster på alle de islandske trøjer, som jeg ville elske at ha’ i min garderobe. Jeg er VILD med de trøjer, deres dæmpede look – hvis altså dæmpede farver vælges – passer så godt til den måde, som jeg kan li’ at klæ’ mig på, rolige nuancer, naturmaterialer og ikke for meget uro. Jeg synes, at de rustikke islandske garner er noget af det smukkeste og har intet problem med at bære dem ind på kroppen; det er ikke garner for folk med følsom hud, men det er et faktastiske garn for os, der godt kan klare lidt stikken.

Egentlig havde jeg planlagt at strikke en cardigan stærkt inspireret af trøjerne fra Farmers Market, men min hjerne var det meste af 2020 trættere end træt og at bevæge mig ud i egne konstruktioner og omregninger det gik på ingen måde, så jeg snuppede i stedet én af alle de smukke trøjer, der var tilgængelige i allerede publiceret udgave, valget faldt på Treysta.

Jeg havde ikke svært ved at vælge farver, for jeg skulle bruge, hvad jeg allerede havde på lager, så enten kunne den blive meget lys eller også kunne den blive meget mørk. Ælle bælle mørk blev den. Nærmest sortbrun. Den var lynhurtigt strikket op, den strikkede nærmest sig selv, garnet glider let på pindene og med et lidt afkortet mønster på bærestykket og nul mønsterstrik andre steder, så gik det hurtigt fra garn i plade til cardigan på krop.

Treysta er vidunderlig. Jeg kunne sagtens strikke mig én mere. I lysere brun måske. Men jeg kunne jo også stramme mig lidt an og se, om jeg da ikke kan få tegnet mig et diagram med dråbemønster, som jeg kan tilpasse Treystas maskeantal, for opskriften er så fin med det mere lette og feminine look og venderækkerne, som får trøjen til at sidde meget pænere end de traditionelle islændere gør.

Måske får jeg det gjort. Måske. Indtil videre jubler jeg bare over, at jeg har denne fjerlette og alligevel dejlig varme brune cardi at bære over mine tynde skjorter.

Mønster: Treysta af Jennifer Steingass. Jeg har strikket str L

Garn: Plötulopi. Knap 300 g ialt hvor af de 215 g er bundfarve. Jeg ruller den sprøde lopi op til et nøgle, før jeg strikker, så kommer jeg ikke så let til at trække fibrene fra hinanden. Sker det alligevel, så lægger jeg bare de to ender ind over hinanden med et overlap på 7-8 cm og strikker videre, denne manøvre ses ikke, når arbejdet er færdigt og den sprøde uld er så slidstærk, når først den er strikket op. Plötulopi vejer ingenting og er vidunderligt at bære.

Pinde: 3.5 mm 4 mm 4.5 mm Min strikkefasthed passede til den anbefalede. Jeg plejer ellers at skulle 0.5 mm ned men jeg tænker, at jeg holder lidt fastede på strikketøjet, når garnet er så sprødt.

Egne krumspring: Jeg slog 5 m mere op, placeret midt på forstykket, så jeg havde nogle masker at klippe op i, Treysta er født som en lukket trøje og jeg ønskede en åben. Da trøjen var færdig, hæklede jeg ned langs begge sider af de ekstra 5 masker, som jeg havde strikket i 1 x 1 rib hele vejen og klippede derefter op i den midterste maske. Det er en meget enkel måde at åbne et stykke lukket strik og især i de mere rustikke fibre med alle deres små “fangarme” er der høj succesrate for udfaldet af det opklippede, det er ikke noget, man behøver at være bange for at gøre ved sit strik. Man skal være opmærksom på, at man ikke får trukket for meget i arbejdet, mens man hækler de to rækker, der skal sørge for at holde sammen på arbejdet efter opklip; trækker man for meget, så får man nogle flagrende forkanter og det kan være svært at gøre pænt, selv om man så kan prøve at samle lidt stramt op i rib til forkanten. Jeg har strikket en almindelig 2 x 2 ribstolpe på begge sider og fordelt 10 knaphuller på den ene. Knapper har jeg endnu ikke syet i, de skal være meget lette for ikke at trække i den fine uld.

Jeg har også sprunget over en del af mønsterstrikken på min udgave af Treysta. Den sidste rapport på bullens mønster sprang jeg over, fordi jeg heller ville have samlet mønster uden de lidt “fritsvævende” farvedryp nederst. Og mønsterrapporten nederst på bul og ærmer har jeg heller ikke taget med, jeg kan li’ det mere skrabede look, hvor den øverste bort får lov at spille en solo.

Jeg er VILD med min Treysta. Og er så glad for, at jeg strikkede lige netop den model, der gav mig inspiration til også at lægge venderækker ind 3 steder på den tofarvede Riddari, som jeg strikkede senere på året.

Måske skulle jeg bladre lidt i Jennifer Steingass’ udgivelser og snuppe en mønsterstrik mere.

      Ja det er ikke helt dårligt. Jeg er vild med den opskrift, trøjen sidder bare så pænt. Både som cardigan og som lukket model.

    Jeg gade godt lære den ‘hækle teknik’. Da jeg var ung og strikkede norske kofter syede jeg på maskine inden jeg klippede op, men symaskinen er jeg forlængst flyttet fra.

      Det er altså også bare en super måde at kunne klippe op på, man er hurtigt i mål og behøver ikke at bøvle med at finde en symaskine.
