I mere end 6 mdr har hun manglet her i mit hverdagsliv.

I mere end 6 mdr har jeg ikke kunnet kysse hende på håret, inden jeg går i seng.

 

Der er dage, hvor jeg er syg af længsel, hvor jeg mangler hende, savner hende, længes så forfærdeligt efter mit midterbarn, mit skønne barn, mit stærke barn, min Laura.

Andre dage er savnet knap så voldsomt, så “tåler” jeg det.

Men på alle dagene glædes jeg også så usigeligt over, at hun fik denne mulighed for at opleve verden på en måde, som hun så gerne ville, at leve en tid i det land, som hun har længtes efter at komme til at kende fra hun var bare en lille ny skolepige…

 

Hun har det forrygende, oplever så meget og lærer noget om livet på en måde, som hun ikke ville ha’ gjort, hvis hun var blevet her.

Jeg under hende det hele, men jeg er sørme glad for, at der er tvungen hjemrejse og at hun stadig er så ung, at vi kan insistere på, at hun skal komme.

 

Også selv om det kan ende med, at det bare bliver for at sige hej og gå et par år på IB.

Hun ta’r afsted igen, det ved jeg, men den tid den sorg, for inden jeg lov at ha’ hende her hos mig en stund.

 

25. juli rejser hun ud af USA, nærmest den dag, hvor hendes visum udløber, hun skal ha’ det hele med og sådan skal det være.

Og når hun så er her igen, så vil jeg ta’ hende med ud i sommerlandet og give hende og hendes smukke søstre mulighed for at springe badut i sommernatten mens de pigehvin fylder luften.

 

Jeg glæder mig…

    Tænk at hun allerede har været væk et halvt år, men det er ikke nemt med de kære børn der forlader os… men så længe de vender næsen hjem igen, så går det.

    Pyyyhaaaa… Uha det gør ondt at savne. Den frygtelige morlængsel. Vi vil nok altid have det instinkt som er de lange fangearme der krammer ind. Kysse og nusse og dufte… Godt at der ikke er lang tid tilbage.

    Tiden går alligevel hurtigt, set her fra sidelinien syntes jeg ikke det er længe siden, du skrev om hendes afrejse, pakningen af yndlingssko hvoraf en stor del måtte blive hjemme i det danske:-)
    Så jeg håber, for dig, at tiden på denne side af atlanten vil gå hurtigt – og at tiden på den anden side af atlanten vil gå umanerligt langsomt, for Laura:-)

    Ved lige hvordan du har det, sidder i samme båd. Længes også og synes min hverdag til tider er halvtom. Fyldes også med splittede følelser over at vide, at den glæde vi føler over at der nu kun er 5 måneder til vi ses igen i Kastrup, den er vi nødt til at nedtone lidt over for den unge mand. Han er nemlig fyldt med helt andre følelser, selvklart glæder han sig til at se os igen, men det er tanken om at skulle tage afsked med en fantastisk værtsfamilie, et fantastisk land og et år der bare har vist sig at være “the year of your life”, der dominerer følelsesregistret hos ham. Splittet mellem glæde og vemod lader vi hver især være med at tale om hjemrejse og holder tonen let og lys, så går det nok.

    Har det på helt samme måde som dig !! – bortset fra at det er mindste-pigen som er “ovre there”, og storesøstrene er flyttet hjemmefra, så her er stille – helt stille og tomt, men min nedtælling er begyndt – 3 måneder – så skal hun hentes hjem ! Vi skal se “hendes” skole, møde værtsfamilien og vennerne. Der vil blive fældet nogle tårer, når der skal tages afsked. Hun har allerede meddelt, at “dette liv bliver svært at undvære”, selvom også hendes savn til tider er stort. Vi glæder os vildt til at se “hendes liv” derovre – skolen, stranden og hvor hun ellers har “hængt ud”……

    Åh ja – det bliver dejligt at have alle kyllingerne godt hjemme igen! Dog må jeg indrømme, at adskillelsen ikke har været helt så slem for mig som jeg nok havde frygtet. Det betyder meget at kunne kommunikere så meget, som man kan i dag. Og så har det allervigtigste været at kunne mærke at kyllingen har det som blommen i et æg og at vi kommunikerer rigtig godt med værtsfamilien. Men dejligt at kunne kramme og mærke igen – det bliver det 🙂

    Åååå jeg kjenner igjen den følelsen!!!
    Min gode, herlige, fantastiske sønn Fredrik på 21 flyttet hjemmefra i august.
    Han kommer nok heretter bare hjem i feriene sine. Åååå som jeg lengter etter denne gode gutten.
    Og det beste er at han lengter mye han og!! Hva skulle vi gjort uten skype??

    Min egen datter (og midterbarn) er bare 9 år, men jeg ved at jeg kommer til at være i samme situation som dig – en eller anden dag ikke så langt ude i fremtiden… *kram*
