Jeg har strikket en ny rib på Amanda’en.

Klippede forsigtigt op langs sammensyningerne i siderne og derefter blev hele ribben på ryggen klippet af, væk med den.

 

Jeg samlede op og strikkede ovenfra og ned og på noget, der føltes som et ganske lille øjeblik, havde trøjen en fin ny rib bagpå.

Siderne blev syet sammen igen og trøjen røg straks i en pose og med Sophie hjem.

 

Hun får selv lov til at stå for den vask, som den skal ha’ for at det nystrikkede falder i med det andet og knapperne monteres af den syerske, som passer systuen i Sophies butik.

Det havde vel endt med en ufrivillig kogevask, hvis jeg havde tilbudt at vaske den her…

 

Aldrig mere en eneste maske på det lede strikketøj, trøjen fra helvede eller “Hvordan-skilsmisse-og-aran-går-dårligt-i-spænd”-trøjen.

Afsted med den, jeg har gjort min indsats på det område.

Op til flere gange.

 

Men jeg ved, at trøjen vil blive brugt og brugt og brugt, Sophie er lykkelig for den og så er alle trængslerne vel til at klare.

Belønningen for at være nået i mål må bestemt være et uovertruffent lækkert nyt stykke strik.

Et helt vanvittigt enkelt stykke strik, måske ene retriller?!

Hvem  ved…

 

Omkring den lille brand vi havde her, vil jeg bare sige, at der ikke var nogen panik, alt var under kontrol, jeg sad lige ved siden af, da det skete, så ingen behøver at forestille sig afsvedne kæledyr eller nedbrændt hjem.

 

Det er dog stadig lidt et mysterie, hvordan der kan gå ild i noget, der ikke ligger bare tilnærmelsesvis op af et lys?!

Jeg opdagede dog i aftes, at den fyrfadsstage, der stod tættest på, så ud som om, at der havde været en mindre eksplosion nede i den, måske er der gået ild i overfladen af lyset.

Det har jeg set en anden gang og der var altså blus på.

 

Hvem ved?

Ikke jeg!

Men ét ved jeg dog og det er, at sjældent har jeg været så lettet over at kunne lukke den sidste maske af på et stykke strik.

Gå med fred, uldne Amanda, og kom aldrig her hjem for at blive lappet, du ender med at være mere hullet, end da du kom…

    Jeg glemte næsten at trække vejret, da jeg læste dit indlæg om den brændende Amanda. For dulen da et arbejde med den trøje ! Men det endte jo godt:-) Kan til gengæld godt forstå, at nu vil du have den ud af dit hus og begynde på noget nyt:-)

      Du kan sagtens strikke den, Diana, den er jo ikke svær, det er bare min hjerne, der har været ude af funktion i en periode og da det først var gået galt nogle gange, ja så kunne jeg ikke finde tilbage på sporet igen.
      Strik du dig bare en Amanda, den er smuk og klassisk og kan holde i mange år…

      Jeg har faktisk strikke flere aran-trøjer og alt muligt andet med snoninger den ene og den anden vej, og jeg kan li’ det. Men dette her projekt blev startet op på det helt forkerte tidspunkt.

      En eller anden dag så strikker jeg den igen – uden alle de torskedumme uheld…
